ABOUT
Act like a man.
Be a man.
Suck it up.
That is the myth of masculinity.
These are all things men grow up hearing and are lead to believe they shouldn't express their emotions and feelings because society doesn't see it as acceptable. If women fought for years to have the same rights as men the rights that defy masculinity, why can't men have the same right as women do?
Take the simple idea of crying, if a woman cries that is considered normal, but if a man does it is seem as weak or not masculine and that is when a man is told to 'Man up', but what does that really mean?
This is a movement about the many myths of masculinity and society's idea of what being a man is versus the reality of what it is to be a man.
